1931 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe
We are very excited to present this 1931 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe hot rod! The all steel body is finished in a menacing shade of Gloss Black with hand-laid white and red pin striping, this car certainly has the ability to turn heads! The car has a custom red and black vinyl interior that continues upon the theme of the exterior. The car is powered by a Chevy 305 crate motor with simulated triple Rochester 2-Jet carburetion mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission and Chevy S10 rear end. Hiding behind the shortened ’35 Chrysler front end, the suspension set-up has been well thought out with a channeled and boxed frame, 6-inch front drop axle, finned rail moldings, front disc brakes and full tubular steering components. The car has all-new hardware and shocks that help this hot rod ride better than most. The car is fitted with a plethora of neat options including: visor, driver side-view mirror, alcantara-like headliner, billet instrument bezel with Classic instruments gauges (speedo/odometer and fuel/oil/temp/volts), illuminated turn signal/flasher stalk, silver sliver rear-view mirror, original style pop-out windshield, chrome door/trunk handles and a fancy Kenwood KDC-248U head unit with twin Boston S65 speakers and remote. The car rides on red steel wheels with “V8” hubcaps and trim rings and wrapped in Coker Classic tires, 5.60-15 in front and L78-15 in the rear.
The fully exposed motor of this car has a tremendous amount of dress-up including finned aluminum valve covers and air cleaners, aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold, Hooker Super Competition headers, Wolo Wolf Whistle, full dual exhaust with H-pipe and resonators and chrome tips, Mallory magnetic breaker-less electric ignition, high-performance wires, electric cooling fan, aluminum radiator, chrome alternator cover, expansion tank and radiator piping, billet “oil” cap and pulleys, polished oil pan, transmission oil cooler and stainless steel brake lines. The red/black vinyl interior is kept cool with the assistance of full tinted windows. The car has a stainless steel fuel tank mounted discreetly in the trunk to add to the sinister appearance. You don’t have to look for too long to discover that this was not a garage-built hot rod but was done by people who knew the craft.

1931 Model A coupe
Body:
1931 Ford Model A coupe. 6" chop, channeled 4". All rust was removed and patch panels were made and welded in. Paint is single stage in a 2 tone brown.
Chassis:
Custom built from 2x6 tubing, this isn't a simple Z'd frame. It has custom sweeps at the front and rear. The front rails sweep approx. 5" and the back is swept up about 18", the frame has a nice Deco feel and flows very well. All the joint fitments were done to code and all the welds are full penetration.. The frame has been sectioned down to 4" where the driver would sit to create more head room so the car looks like it has a 6" channel but it's really only 4". Frame is painted in tan brown.
Suspension:
Custom made 4" dropped axle from lucky 7. It has stars CNC'd into the axle.
Ride technologies Air Ride- Front and Rear. This is NOT a suicide front end, it has a wheelbase of 106" like a 32 and is proportionally correct. Car rides really smooth and nice. Very driveable ANYWHERE, it has 6" of travel in the air bags.
Wishbones on the front
Four bar rear with panhard bar
Ford 8.8" 3.73 posi rear end with drum brakes.
1958 Buick Drums with Wilson welding hubs on 1937 Ford spindles and early Lincoln style backing plates.
Engine:
1956 354 Chrysler Hemi, bored .30 over and built by D&W engines, it's a brand new Hemi!
Tunnel Ram with 3 Rochester 2G carbs
BBC water pump
Custom ground cam
Way too much to list, I've invested nearly 15K just into the engine. It's building approx. 400hp, runs like a watch and is just a pure animal in this little hotrod!
Engine is painted in a root beer color and pinstriped valve covers.
Transmission:
TH350 with shift kit and 2800 stall convertor
Wheels:
Original 1935 Ford wires, powder coated black with 32 V8 caps
750-16 Firestone wide whites on rear
600-16 Firestone wide whites on front
Interior:
Custom made FULL aluminum and copper riveted interior. Bead rolled and looks like a bomber plane inside. It has a bench style seat in chocolate vinyl.
New wood kit, stained and sealed to look like old barn wood.
1938 Ford steering column
1938 Ford Banjo steering wheel
All new Dolphin gauges in tan brown
Custom made dash from a 64 Chevrolet c80 truck
Dash is pinstriped

1931 Ford Model A Vicky
This 1931 Ford Model A Vicky.... This thing is awesome! The car has an exceptional look ,stance and sound. The frame is all custom with a dropped axle, air ride on the front and Z-ed in the rear with coilovers. The roof is chopped 4 inches in the rear and 5 in the front giving the car a great profile. The powerplant is a 364 Buick Nailhead that runs awesome, it is backed by a 400 turbo transmission and a 10 bolt GM rear axle. The Vicky is very clean and neat underneath and finished in a very nice satin black. The car has a custom dash with aftermarket gauges and a black leather bench seat. The color combo on the car is super cool with a white exterior and candy apple red roof, engine and 32 Ford wire wheels.

Re: Ford 1931 Hot rod
Original Henry Ford steel body chopped and channeled 4", freshly rebuilt 350/350 with under 3000 miles that runs beautifully, TCI Frame, Power Brakes, Curry 9" rear, etc. This car is California titled as a 1931 Ford Coupe. Someone put a huge dent on the driver's side door while it was paked in the underground garage at my job, which I fixed and primered but havent painted. This car has been featured in a few magazines.

1931 Roadster
Builder & Designer: Bear Metal Kustoms Inc. (Jason Pall)
Location: Morro Bay, California
Interior: Jimmy Z of Cayucos, California, created the roadster's interior using rich brown leather from a Mercedes. A smoothed 1932 Ford dashboard and a Studebaker gauge panel sit inside the car.
Body Modifications: The build team replaced both of the car's front cowl panels, modified the top of the cowl and shaved the gas filler. The front stanchion area was smoothed and blended into the belt line. The custom hood and rear decklid were louvered to follow the lines of the custom Oakland grille that the shop fabricated for the car. The body of the car was channeled over the frame 4 inches.
Powertrain: The car runs on a small-block Chevy V-8 (305) engine with a custom 3 x 2 intake (3x Rochester 2G's) and T-5 five-speed transmission. The car also features an original Schroeder sprint car steering box. Drum brakes were used in the rear and disc brakes in the front.
Tires & Wheels: The roadster rolls on Hurst Super Cushion tires in the front and Hurst Cheater Slicks (sized 28 x 8.5 x 15) in the rear. E-T Wheels' “Gassers” wheels were used in the front, while the company's “Fuelers” were used for the rear.
A bare bones hot rod with a modern drivetrain (WC T5) with traditional touches in an "art deco" theme (Electroline 2200 Headlights, Electroline Taillights, Pathfinder Deluxe center light and louvered hood).
The roadster was built to be driven, that being said, it was also built for the taller driver (min 5' 10" to 6' 5", if you are a leggy 6' 4"+ it may be a tight fit, I am right around 6' 2" and it's perfect).
The roadster has won her fair share of shows (LB Motorama/LB Ink n Iron, GNRS), while having the pleasure of gracing the cover of several magazines and being featured within many more.

1931 Model A coupe
This car is an absolute head turner!! It was shown at the Calgary World of Wheels 2014 and was the winner of the ISCA Traditional Vehicle category. It was also shown in Washington where it won an Outstanding award from the Early Ford V8 club. This Hot Rod is a Driver, not a show car or trailer queen. I've been driving it every chance I can since I finished the build in Feb./2014.
