This 1931 Ford 68B convertible is said to be one of two modified in 1941 for deep snow mail delivery duty in Montana. It has modified fenders, tractor tires, and a truck differential. If they had built it from a pick-up, this would have pre-dated Bigfoot by 36 years

1946 4-door vintage Dodge Power Wagon on offer that wasn’t a modern custom creation. This 1946 example looks to be a period item, and uses four front doors.

1963 Checker Aerobus




Checker built the Aerobus from 1962 (some sources say 1961) to 1977. With eight doors, four rows of seats and plenty of luggage space, the 23-foot-long A-12 (a shorter, 9-passenger version also was produced) was ideal for shuttling groups of travelers to and from airports. Though Aerobuses look like stretched Checker Marathon wagons, they in fact had their own unique chassis. The frame on this one reportedly is solid, but the front floors have been patched and the body has some rust issues.




This Aerobus was used at the San Diego airport through 1973, according to the seller, who adds that the body was restored in the mid to late 1970s. The vehicle was then stored in South Carolina for nearly 40 years.



1963 Aerobuses came with the Chrysler 318 V-8 and TorqueFlite automatic, but the engine in this one is a Chevy small block, probably a 283. In addition, the transmission shift quadrant appears correct for a Turbo-hydramatic 350, which wasn’t being built in 1963, so it looks like a swap was done at some point.

Old car dealers had some of the coolest and wildest ideas to attract customers… at least back in the golden age of hot rodding. Now-a-days you’re lucky to find a dealership with more than a dancing balloon man on the street corner. This is a prime example of some of the cool promotional tools dealerships used back in the 40s and 50s. This ’48 Oldsmobile, according to the current owner, was built by John’s Auto Body, when the car was new or almost new and used as a shop vehicle by the Delaware Oldsmobile Company . The dealership would drive customers home in the car and use it to pick up parts, etc. Currently the car is for sale outside of of Philadelphia. It has two complete front interiors including the dash. The front works and the rear is a dummy.

The truck has less than 500 miles on it. Rebuilt 350 chevy, Rebuilt 400 turbo tranny, HEI, new torque converter, new flywheel, new Edelbrock carb, new Edelbrock RPM intake, original radiator was rodded out, sealed and pressure tested, serpentine pulleys and belt, manual fan, 1960 Ford F-100 front drop I-beam axle and 9 inch rear, 1/4 elliptical front springs with radius rod set up and homebuilt front I-beam brackets, rear 4 link, brand new balanced driveshaft, new BF Goodrich tires, new Stockton steels wheels, Schoenfeld open headers, new rear 1/4 Airbagit airbag set up with solenoids, tank, compressor and guages that can do a 6-7 inch raise and drop.
