Re: 1930 Ford hot rod
1930 TITLED ALL STEEL BODIED CUSTOMIZED 1930 MODEL A HOT ROD ROADSTER WITH ALWAYS POPULAR RUMBLE SEAT & WITH ONLY SOME 6K MILES SINCE BUILD!!
West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely stunning all steel 1930 Ford Model 'A' custom Roadster Hot Rod which is titled as a 1930 Ford with only 6,100 miles on the build and which represents an outstanding example of a traditional Hot Rod conversion!
As depicted on the many large pixel photos posted below, this Hot Rod has the always popular rear Rumble seat and an all steel body! It has a steel 1932 Grille and stainless steel insert, '32 windshield posts on '31 stanchions and a '31 closed car windshield and '50 Pontiac tail lights. The frame is a '32 Ford frame from the renown 'Southern Street Rods' of SC which is boxed. The engine is a '55 Oldsmobile 324 c.i. Rocket 88 with approximately 275HP, bored .30 over. It has a custom valve job and the engine has been balanced. It has Silvolite pistons, an Edelbrock Aluminum Tri-Power Intake Manifold with 3 Holley 94 Carburetors with a progressive linkage, NOS Water Pump, Fuel Pump and Distributor. The exhaust headers are from 'Johnnys Speed Shop', of OK and are powder coated by 'Rewarder Headers' of CA. This is all coupled to a 1996 era GM 5 speed manual gearbox with a Summit Shifter. It has a Ford 9" rear end, narrowed by 'Driveline Services' who also supplied the Custom Drive Shaft. The front end utilizes a Superbell front axle with Aluminum 7lb Backing Plates from 'Wilson Welding' of TX. The brake drums are polished and from a '63 Buick Riviera. It has a Chevy Vega steering box and a 'Lime Works' of CA steering column. The speedometer, water temperature, fuel gauge and ammeter are all 'Stewart Warner' gauges that fill the 1932 Ford dashboard plus it has another water temperature gauge in the engine bay bulkhead facing towards the engine. It has a '32 Ford gas tank, heated seats by 'Jimmy Z' and classic 'Guide 682-C' headlights with built in turn signals. Beautifully finished in '55 Chevrolet 'Gypsy Red' with an 'Oyster White over Gypsy Red' interior with a black convertible top.
Only some 6,100 miles since the build and obviously always garaged, covered and with no accidents since the build, owned and driven since then by only obviously very careful and meticulous owners - never ever abused - babied all the way! The 'Gypsy Red' color paint is in absolutely beautiful condition and the rod still looks like it was just completed. The matching Oyster White and Gypsy Red seats and interior is also in absolutely beautiful condition throughout with no signs of wear and the black soft top is also in as new condition! This Hot Rod drives exactly like a newly built low mileage rod should, the engine is extremely strong with no oil leaks, the 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the temperature always remains cool.
The car was owned in recent years by a fastidious Malibu, CA owner who always serviced the car at the renown 'Morgans Auto Service' of Santa Monica, CA with no expense spared in the vehicles preventive maintenance. At 5,555 miles the car had new plugs, set points, replaced fuel hoses and filter, resealed fuel pump, oil & lube service ($874); at 5,752 miles the car had a new clutch installed with a new clutch slave cylinder, new hydraulic cylinder, transmission was removed to replace damaged throw out bearing, replace front wheel bearings ($3,000); at 6,028 miles the car had another oil & lube service, front wheel cylinders were replaced ($1,032); all records available.
You will look long and hard to find a finer example of this genuine all steel 1930 Ford and as we all know it is better to buy one already 'done' than it is to do it yourself!
This particular 1930 Ford Roadster is a pure statement of individuality! It will undoubtedly continue to prove to be a very worthwhile investment for the Hot Rod or Roadster enthusiast or simply easily prove to be the most fun you ever had in 4 wheels!
