ITS BAGGED FRONT AND REARED. i PUT IN PNEUMATIC VALVES SO IT DOESNT HOP OR SNAP HARD IT JUST RUNS GOOD AND IS COMFORTABLE. REBUILT LOWER QUARTERS HAND BUILT STEEL SKIRTS. HAND BUILT SPLASH PANS FRONT AND REAR. SHAVED TRUNK EXTED STAINLESS TO ELIMINATE DOOR HANDLES OUTSIDE. MODIFIED WHEEL OPENINGS, MOLDED DRIP RAILS. PEAKED HOOD AND GRILLE OPENING HAND BUILT WITH CUSTOM INSERTS. MOLDED FENDER MERCURY CAPS WITH BULLETS. FRESH PAINT LAST MONTH FRESH 350 W/ TURBO 350 MOTOR HAS ABOUT 2 HOURS ON IT TIRES ARE NEWWITH BLUE STILL ON REARS FROM SHIPPING. STAINLESS IS FRESH BUMPERS ARE FRESH FROM CHROMER CADDY TAILLIGHTS. Louie Stojanovich 47 Plymouth of the San Jose Rod and Wheelers Car Club

I hate to let this car go but I have to make room for another vehicle. This is a solid custom 1949 Plymouth 2 door Fastback. It's a great daily driver but not a show car. It's built on a custom chassis with a mid 1990's 305 chevy motor and a 350 turbo transmission. It has mustang II front suspension with rack & pinion steering and power disc brakes. It's air bagged all the way around and rides really well. Almost all the suspension and brakes system is new including the air bags system and shocks! It rides on new Coker wide whites and new wheel vintiques up front. New battery, fuel lines, brake lines and fuel cell.

The body is very straight with almost no rust. It's been frenched and shaved with custom rear fender skirts and 1959 Caddy tail lights and new floors. NOS early 1960's Howard Zink seat covers.
It needs a couple things to finish it off. Paint has some bubbles and there a small dent on the passengers side rear fender that I covered with a Jim Phillips sticker, rear bumper and hood ornament are painted, interior needs to be finished, needs door and trunk seals and windows (no drivers door glass) need to be properly installed.

This 1941 Plymouth Business Coupe is a car that you could say is out of character for Anthony ‘Arny’ Beimers. A highly skilled craftsman, Arny takes a difficult project on, jumps in feet first, and emerges at the other end with a concours nut & bolt restoration. So, to acquire a finished custom ‘as is’ and not touch it is a somewhat unusual move.


The ‘41 was purchased from Kevin Francis of KA Customs in Huntington Beach California. Arny is a regular visitor to the West Coast shows in the US, and the Chrysler caught his eye during a 2007 visit to the infamous Pamona Swap Meet. “I was actually looking for a 1959 Corvette on that particular trip, but I just couldn’t get the Plymouth out of my mind,” said Arny, “so I bought it instead!”

The car was first built from 2004-2005, and was an award winner at the Grand National Roadster Show in 2006. It now sits in Arny’s garage, awaiting a small transplant. “Currently I have a 354 HEMI built for the car and will fit it once I get through the other projects I have on the go” says Arny.



That is most certainly something to look forward to. Then again, so are all the other projects lurking in the shed, deep in the Victorian landscape.
