Chevrolet 1941 - 49 custom & mild custom
You are looking at a 1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster Coupe a real California Kustom Tail Dragger. Lots of body modifications, Frenched 1946 Buick Grill and headlights, Nosed, Shaved, Decked, Molded rear fenders, relocated and shaved gas filler, matching Tear Drop Skirts.
"Traditional Tail Dragger" look. The body is straight and solid, shot in Metallic Nutmeg Gold. I never ran the hood on it but one is included.
This amazing car starts, drives and stops very well.
It has a rebuilt 216 I6 engine with Dual Rochester carburetors / Fenton Manifolds, great on gas.
Rebuilt Distributor with Hoffman Cloth type plug wires.
This Chevy stays cool with electric fan pushing through a fresh radiator.
Brand new BF Goodrich Silver Town Deluxe 4" Wide White Wall tires and Gold powder coated artillery rims. NOS real bullet cones and stainless trim rings. New straight pipe dual exhaust all the way back sounds great. This Coupe has many new and upgraded parts, well over 20K invested!
A very low ride with blocks in the back. The black sarape upholstery wraps the stock bench and rear seats. I was going to do the door panels and headliner in white tuck and roll and still can if buyer wants to or change up the interior full kustom at extra cost. Gold garnish and 1954 Steering wheel, extended 3-speed shifter with rare Tel-Tru thermometer. All new 12 volt cloth wiring. Zero rust, floors have had new replacement panels and painted (see pics). Rubber floor mats.Full size spare tire. Lots of accessories and kustom pieces.
Hand pinstriped by Sam Bogie.

Sur Ebay Motors cela me permet de découvrir encore plus en détail des caisses que sur des mags, et je vous en fait profiter
Je pense que cette modfe se veut un lien entre kustom et hot rod.

Chevy 1940 - 45 custom & mild custom
1940 Chevrolet Coupe
Here is a nice clean solid metal bodied car from Nebraska. It sat for decades in storage before we got it. It was last driven before world War 2 and the original owner never returned .
Then it sat for decades until after his parents death. We got this car with 8900 original miles .
A very solid survivor. No rust through ever on this car. No corrossion was ever found on the floor boards.
We still had the doors, fenders and anything we could dipped and E coated. The whole under carriage has been blasted and coated with POR15 and then the entire underside has been covered 2 times with bedliner.
No expense has been spared on this car.
This car has many features. It has been customized and the front and rear fenders have been molded in with steel welding and very little filler.
Everything was done professionaly. It has a rebuilt 283 Chevrolet engine which is bored out .30 over and has a mild cam . It has a rebuilt 700R4 transmission which is beefed up and a tv cable. A nice Lokar nostalgic shifter on the floor has overdrive. It has a new polished aluminum radiator.
The engine compartment is awesome with its chrome and polished aluminum finned chevrolet covers. Everything is either chrome, polished stainless or aluminum or powder coated.
We installed a New Currie Ford rearend which alone was $3500. This car has Positraction and modern new rear leafsprings spinner hubcaps sit over the Lincoln wheels which were sandblasted and powder coated. The front end is a Chassis Engineering Mustang II front end with disc brakes. This is a very smooth riding car. We are extremely happy with its suspension.
Its been wired with a Ron Francis Wiring harness and many more things can be added if you like. We have power windows and a 3rd billet brake light . The sound system is wonderful. It is a JVC Cd radio with Infinity Speakers .
The entire interior has been customized by a professional upholsterer who has done an exellent tuck and roll with red and white leather like vinyl. The tilt steering column is polished stainless by Flaming River. It has a walnut steering wheel by Grant. The power brakes with the front discs stop well.
The front and rear bumpers are polished stainless steel .The Grill is a special billet polished stainless steel grill.
This beauty has heavy duty Steel bubble fenderskirts by Don Drake to complete the nostalgic look .The NOS sunviser is original never used Fulton.

Re: Chevy 1940 - 45 custom & mild custom
1940s Chevy Coupe – West Coast Style Deep in the Heart of Texas
Richard Donham, better known to his friends and around the traditional customs scene as “Burl” is a true to heart Californian that somehow was misplaced into the hot and humid metropolis of Houston, Texas. His roots and style are deeply seeded in skating and surfing; evident by the number of boards that line his garage and patio. A long-time member and treasurer of the Los Cochinos Car Club of Houston, TX he’s happy to extend some Texas hospitality in the form of some fresh gulf shrimp chased with an ice-cold Tecate with a lime and salted rim; something yours truly is on the hook for on the next visit to Houston.
1940s chevy, 40 Custom Chevy, Chevy Custom
Always up for a cruise night or cruise by the boardwalk and beach in Kemah, a suburb of Houston, we hopped in this pristine custom with Burl and headed straight towards the beach. With Houston’s long history in the oil and gas industry, there’s no shortage of high-end euros, Maserati’s, Porsches, etc. lining the streets. But take one Gambino Kustoms built, traditionally styled 1940 Chevy Coupe scrapin’ the pavement and those same euros-rides suddenly fade as the spotlight shifts to the kustom and whatever tunes happening to be pouring out of the windows.
Burl picked up the Chevy coupe from famed builder Alex Gambino of Gambino Kustoms of San Jose, CA. As with anything that rolls out of Gambino’s shop, the ’40 followed a methodical build with heavy attention to the even the most mundane detail… But that’s what sets the great kustoms apart from the good ones – the details. Details like a channel so deep the running boards touch the ground when the air bags are completely deflated.
Styling cues such as shaved door handles and badges add traditional touches to the coupe, and the retention of certain trim pieces such as those along the hood, doors and rear quarter highlight the vision and eye for detail of the builder. But it’s the copper suede paint that one- ups any ride with the misfortune of being parked next to it at a show or parking lot.
Under the hood, Burl keeps it old-school running a 235 inline 6-cylinder with subtle chrome accents; so clean you could eat off of it. The gears are rowed via a column shifted “3 on the tree” protruding from the meticulously restored dash with original gauges.

Re: Chevy 1940 - 45 custom & mild custom
Inside the original style bench seat remains, recovered in black naugahyde. The door panels, floor boards and headliner have all been refinished in black as well. While the black adds great contrast against the copper paint, third degree burns are possible after sitting too long under the Texas sun.
A set of chrome reverse O.E’s with paint-matched centers wear wide whites tucked nicely into the fender walls exposing just enough white wall to give the expression each one is smiling back at you… Does it know you’re staring?
Future plans for the coupe? Well Burl is contemplating a chop to the stock roofline. Talk of this act has been met with mixed reviews so leave some feedback with your thoughts.
On the day of the shoot we cruised up and down a small strip of beach homes hoping to find a spot not too crowded but with enough background imagery and light to do the coupe justice. When shooting with natural light, as photographer Trent Sherrill prefers, timing is everything. But… every so often the car gods smile down on you and deliver warm sun, a secluded pier, and just enough cloud cover to give you the right amount of light. Throw in photo shoot essentials: Former Houston Texans cheerleader Randi Brady, a vintage bathing suit, one the slickest customs in all of Texas, a few cold ones, and well… you’ll find yourself looking for the “pause” button.
