This car was a 3 year build by the famous Joe Moreno of Southern California and spent time on the show circuit there. It has won many awards such as the Oakland Roadster Show "Best Custom." It has too many mods to list so the pictures will give you all the details you need. It has a white non removable chopped padded Carson top with custom side glass. The paint is "Candy Mint" green pearl with a gorgeous white interior. Power steering and brakes. Rides on radial white walls and custom caps. Rear air lift. Custom front and rear bumpers. Is powered by a 350 Chevy 350 Trans. It has a custom louvered motor cover which helps it stay cool.

This is a one of kind Custom 1947 Ford!
Here's a list of what's been done:
- Dropped to the ground.
- Top chopped & replaced with the roof off a 58' Chevy Impala (7 inches in the front and 5 inches in the back) (original chrome vent cover, not a repro).
- Sectioned 3-Inches.
- The (1955) Cadillac Bumper was frenched into the front (original bumper, not a repro).
- Custom grille added.
- Chrysler Headlamps vertically laid into the front.
- Packard taillamps frenched into the rear.
- The power antennae frenched in.
- Frest Satin Black paint job in early 2009.
- Rear tail-pipe flamethrowers installed.
- To add a little more attention at night, red neon lights have been added underneath the body along with behind the front grille.
- The interior has been completely redone in a very high quality manner. Custom leather seating surfaces, door & kick panels, headliner, and rear bench coverings. New black carpet.
- An Alpine CD player.
- Remote entry, along with hidden exterior switches open the doors/trunk.
- The car has had a rear-seat-delete, due to lack of headroom after the chop.
- The dash is out of a 1949 Mercury and has been upgraded with VDO "White-Face" gold wrapped gauges.
- Tilt steering wheel.
- The engine is a carbureted (no points) stroked 350 Chevy crate motor.
- Transmission is a 700R4 4-speed auto transmission.
- It has a Ford 9-Inch rearend, Chassis-Engineering rear suspension.
- Heidts Superide Mustang-II front end.
- Custom drivetrain.
- Lots of chrome added, side pipes, side mirrors, faux spotlights, bullet covers for the windshield wiper nubs, etc.

Custom 1948 Ford convertible
Custom 1948 Ford convertible.
The body is all steel. The car has been nosed & decked.
The grille is a 1947 Oldsmobile.
Door handles are shaved and both the headlights and taillights are frenched in.
It has custom extended 1946 Ford stainless trim (lots better looking than the 48 trim).
Paint is 1994 Porsche Iris blue.
Chrome & stainless are all new.
The top has been chopped 2.5" and is power.
Tires are BF Goodrich 215-70r-15 wide whites in excellent shape.
Drive train is a rebuilt 401 cubic inch Buick Nail-Head engine with a turbo 400 automatic transmission and a Ford 9" rear-end.
The car has a Heidts "super ride II" coil-over front suspension with forged 2" drop spindles.
The rear suspension is a chassis engineering leaf spring kit.
It has power steering and power brakes -- disc in the front.
The underside of the car has been detailed with a very nice black satin finish.
The interior has stock seats that have been recovered in white roll & pleat.
It has a custom dash with Stewart Warner gauges and new wiring.
The car has Vintage Air AC and heat, along with power door solenoids, power front windows, power trunk, power cowl vent, and tilt steering wheel

1941 Ford Hot Rod Coupe Emerald Illusion
1941 Ford Hot Rod Coupe; affectionately known as “Emerald Illusion.” This So Cal Hot Rod, built by Bob’s Customs & Rods in Upland, California, is a serious show stopper with its custom paint, removable Carson Top, serious amounts of chrome and 350ci V8! This is a top quality show car and has been featured in lots of magazines, was custom built over a TEN year period with 1,000s of professional man hours and it shows!
This badass custom started its life as a 1941 Ford Coupe and was then professionally converted into a convertible with a Carson Top by Bob’s Customs and Rods in Southern California. The exterior is a steel body that sits upon a completely boxed frame and the color is a drop dead gorgeous Emerald Green with subtle lighter green pinstriping that looks like it was done yesterday. The pinstriping adds a little personality to this hot rod. It has a lift off, white Carson Top, which is in excellent condition and looks absolutely stunning! It has lots of chrome that looks spectacular with a brilliant shine and skirts. This is truly a show stopper and is sure to draw attention anywhere you may take it!
The high quality, white interior with metallic green piping bucket seats are custom tailored for this vehicle and the gauges are VDO. The white and green motif continues throughout the interior and looks beautiful! The modern interior compliments the updated yet retro exterior. There is also an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player, as well as Vintage Air air conditioning and power windows. There are two sets of remote key fobs as well as a complete list of instructions as to how to use all the fancy bells and whistles on the car! Poppers on each door and automatic lift for the trunk are included.
Under the hood of this hot rod is a 350 cubic inch V8 with three carburetors or “three deuces.” The engine is dressed up nicely in lots of chrome and accented with green LED lights that illuminate beautiful off the reflective chrome. Mated to the engine is a TH350 automatic transmission shifted through the floor. It is equipped with rack and pinion power steering and power four wheel disc brakes.
The car sits upon Air Ride suspension and lays the frame to the ground when the bags are emptied. All four corners are bagged and the tank, compressor and all gauges are hidden away in the trunk. It has a true, So Cal lowrider stance! The 15” chrome wheels are wrapped in 165R15 white wall tires that really pull together the entire look of this custom hot rod.
