1949 Ford Convertible - Mike & Sara Lewis - Lance Hatcher - hooligans in hot rods
“On July 23rd, 2011, an auction was happening in Bennington, Nebraska. It was 105 degrees and humid, even for Nebraska, but it was a good time nonetheless. Mike Lewis, his now-wife, Sara, and his parents were there to check out a '40 rear end for Mike's Model A Coupester. Of course, the rear-end was one of the last auction slots, so they decided to head home and bid in the A/C. After all, the auction was live streaming, and proxibid was available.
A couple slots away from the rear end, a '49 Ford Convertible became available for bid. Mike commented that those cars "are cool when they're done." Out of curiosity, Sara clicked on the pictures. Uh oh, she accidentally bid! To proxibid, their IP address and credit card had already been recorded, but surely someone would outbid them on a '49 Ford Convertible, right!? Nah. After what felt like forever, they were digitally congratulated on winning the auction. Whoops! $3,000 worth of whoops, actually.
In tears and hiding under her covers, Sara was sick, literally. Mike reassured her and reminded her they had a random shoebox to go pick up! Like right now.” - Car Kulture Deluxe 115 is on stands NOW
