1955 Chevy Bel Air off frame restored with 434 racing engine
Shoebox Chevy 2 door post, runs high-octane fuel through dual quad Holey 660 center squirters, That launches so hard it can yank the front tires off the ground.
The super-straight bodywork, covered Sea Mist Green over Neptune Green paint and bodywork are extremely well done. First rate prep makes the panels look about a mile deep, and there aren't any distortions or waves to be found. The chrome all remains in place and the car has all been restored to show specifications, anything that wasn't restored was replaced with an exact replica.
The inside is swathed in yards of black leather, stitched into original-looking patterns. Features include a powerful A/C system, a tilt column with a wood-rimmed wheel, and a column-mounted tach. The original gauges remain, including the clock, and the entertainment system has an upgraded head unit with AM/FM/cassette capabilities. The trunk is finished to stock specs, right down to the rubber mat, but you can easily see how clean this car is by having a peek underneath.
The engine is a 434 cubic inch screamer built by Scott Shafiroff, and makes a dyno-proven 713 horsepower. Breathing through dual Holley 660's atop aluminum heads, and firing on 12:1 compression. A high-rise manifold makes prodigious torque, and the highly squeezed mixture is fired by an MSD ignition, exhausting through a set of beautiful long-tube headers. A Muncie 4-speed manual, Hurst shifter and 4.11 gears on a Posi and twisting Moser axles. The suspension has been suitably beefed up, with traction bars on the leaf springs and modern tube shocks keeping it all under control. Power front disc brakes and 15-inch BFGoodrich T/A radials on polished Torque Thrust

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air
I've owned this 55 since 1989 and it will be hard to list every thing that has been done. I'm an Old School guy and tried to build this as a 60's , 70's hot rod with as little as possible new items. This is my driver and fun car so I drove it for a few years after purchase then slowly started working on it which lead to the body coming off and went from there. There are new front and rear floors which only panels we available at that time and they are welded in and not finished smooth , but ground and then seam sealed. Underside and frame painted with Emron. This car took me untill 3 years ago to complete due to 5 moves and a divorce!! Has new quarters and I purchased doors , fenders , and trunk from Desert Valley back in 80 before they were known. I believe the wheels are 60's astros , from a friends 58 vette he was redoing. Paint is less than three years old and does have some minor chips/scratches due to driving. New smoked glass ( bottom of drivers window has some minor milkiness) Custom 57 Buick grill , re chromed head lamp rims and tail bezels , Danchunk one pice rear bumper, new Bird. /Grill surround original , minor pits. Hood is pinned and have removed bracing and latch, which I have, Heater not installed but I have 2 units. I have the original bumpers, fender wells , missing one lower flap, and fenders/trunk..The imterior is two years old and beautiful!! CCR column, new hurst shifter am/fm radio Brand new saginaw 4spd from I believe MCR racing in texas. 1968 327 chevy 60 over , new crank etc. 202 head reworked with larger valved ,30/30 solid cam hooker headers, custom duel exhaust with summit stainless turbos. It has a offenhauser intake on with two carters at this time which i received from a friend that road races a 62 vette the carbs are 409 chevy units with no choke and they run better than the brand new holley 450's show in the picks. You can have the holleys but I got rid of the 4 inch spacers needed to make it clear the distriburator, All new suspension, shocks body mounts drag link tie rods etc. new fuel and brake lines, sender unit. Disc brake conversion and new cylinders on rear. Tires are Hurst racing tires cheaters on rear. Also has a new Eaton Posi in the rear 373 gears.
