1952 Ford Sedan Coupe
Description: This Ford Sedan Coupe is the perfect cruiser. All Mechanicals and electronics work perfectly. It does not emit any strange sounds from the suspension or drivetrain. Every person you pass will give you a thumbs up Guaranteed. Upgraded Steering rack makes driving this 50s classic a breeze. Paint shines nicely, and the contrast between the Ruby Red Roof and the Black surroundings really kicks it up a notch.
Interior:
Interior has early 80s adjustable front seats, they match the newer grey tweed styled door panels quite nicely. The rear seat is o.e.m styled with matching material. The headliner is in good shape. The Dash does not have any rust and is METAL. (awesome) All gauges work with the exception of the dash clock. It has a newer Stereo with Pioneer components and an Ipod hookup. Overall a very clean and comfortable Interior.
Exterior:
The black Paint is in good shape it is a primer base with a single stage on top of that. There were no major body issues and minimal filler was used. It was fairly straight to begin with. Roof is Ruby Red with color matched steelie wheels. I would rate the overall paint condition as a 6.5 out of 10. Chrome bumpers are in excellent condition, along with the custom center grille insert. The tail light bezels show minor pitting, along with the famed Flight emblem on the hood. Overall a very solid straight car.
Drivetrain:
The Motor and transmission have been upgraded to the 223ci Ford 6. Its claim to fame was the ability to get 24mph at 45mph! It also boasts 120hp. Powered by a single Carb Holley it really drives super smooth. The Transmission is a 3 speed and it goes into all gears smoothly. The rear end does not whine or make any strange sounds. The suspension has been lowered 2 inches all around, and has newer shocks. She Starts up every time and does not smoke. The Brakes stop this beauty in a straight line. Cooling system has been upgraded to an aluminum dual pass radiator that is controlled by a 160* thermostat. She never overheats.
Key Facts:
- Solid Underside
- Great Cruiser
- All Electronics work as they should
- New Exhaust
- Hard to find front roof louver.
- Custom Grille

1954 Ford Glasstop II - Gordy Brown
1954 Ford Skyliner or "my '54 Candy Red Glasstop" as Gordy likes to refer to it.
Gordy customized this car when he lived in Salt Lake City Utah where he shaved the body of all the emblems and door handles. He also cleaned up the bumpers by welding the bumper holes and smoothing out the bumpers. He wanted to get a real clean look so he also took of the bumper guards and reshaped the flat section on the bumper that hold the guards so that he now had a really clean shaved bumper. It looks great, but only few people knew that it involved a lot of work. His next step was the grille which he replaced with a 1954 Chevy unit with to which he added 10 extra teeth for a total of 15 teeth. The stock Ford surround was molded to the body and he rounded the hood corners in the process. Gordy replaced the stock headlights with a set of 1955 Oldsmobile headlights which required some reworking on the front fenders first. At the rear Gory added 1956 Oldsmobile 98 taillights in modified rear fenders.Gory also removed the stock side trim and replaced it with a lot cleaner looking unit from a 1954 Mercury. The rear quarter panels were modified with the ever popular three spears on the extruding panel. But not before Gordy opened up the fake scoop and made it a functional one. Before Gordy added the wonderful Candy Apple red paint he lowered the car to sit perfectly level on a set of fine line white wall tires and chrome wheels with spider caps. The interior was done in bright white with matching red.

1954 Ford Skyliner owned and restyled by Gordy Brown of Salt Lake City, Utah. At age 16 Gordy bought a four years old 1954 Ford Skyliner that he chopped and turned into a very nice street driven custom. As custom paint was changing rapidly in the late 1950s with different hues of candy and pearls, Gordy decided to buy a second 1954 Ford Glasstop rather than strip the enamel paint off and repaint his first Skyliner. The first '54 was a street custom, the second one became a show car with a Candy Red paint job. The body was cleaned up by shaving the doors, hood and deck. Gordy kept the stock bumpers, but he filled the bolt holes and pounded out the flat spot behind the front bumper guards so it had the same shape as the rest of the bumper. The grille surround was molded to the body, and a modified 1954 Chevrolet grille bar was installed in the Ford. The grille bar had triple teeth, two between each stock tooth and one between the stock outside tooth and the parklights. 15 teeth in total. The hood corners were rounded before the hood was louvered. 1955 Oldsmobile headlights replaced the stock headlights, and the side trim was changed to 1954 Mercury side trim with the three chrome spears added to each side. The sides were opened up and converted into scoops under the spears. In the rear, taillights from a 1956 Oldsmobile 98 were installed. The car was lowered all around for a proper stance, and Gordy ordered chrome wheels with Spyder Centers and US Royal Masters from California. According to Gordy, these were the second set of chrome wheels ever to be brought into Utah from California.[1]
Once completed, Gordy's second glass top was shown in the early 1960s. Gordy built the car in Salt Lake City, but moved later on to California. After moving to California Gordy used to go over to Bill Cushenbery's shop and help him out. Gordy and Bill would go to lunch in the glasstop, and Gordy remembers Bill telling him that it was the first glasstop he had ever ridden in. He loved looking out the top.[1]
Gordy still owned his second glass top in 2012. By then he had begun restoring the car, and he had stripped the original candy red paint off. The interior dash and moldings had been painted a dark candy red to better match the red maroon in the interior. The interior had also been redone, and the top of the dash upholstered in tuck and roll.[1]

Re: Ford 1952 - 1954 custom & mild custom
The car was designed Keith Kaucher of Kaucher Kustoms, and was featured as a "Dream Car of the Month" in the December 2004 issue of Rod & Custom Magazine. The car was then built by Starlite Rod & Kustom in Torrance, CA in 2005. In January 2006, the car debuted at the Grand National Roadster Show (the longest running largest indoor show on the West Coast), where it took First Place in its class. Over the next two years, the car won 17 trophies and awards out of 19 shows and was given a 6 page feature in the October 2006 issue of Rod & Custom. You can see some of the articles on our website at www.kaucherdesignwerks.com. This car has been completely redesigned with some of the modifications as follows: it has a '65 Buick Wildcat roof grafted on with a 2 1/2" chop, it has a Mercury front end with the Mercury hood scoop shaved off and the hood reskinned, it has a '54 Chevy grille with the teeth smoothed off, all four wheel arches have been swept back, the car has been lengthened overall by 7" and the wheel base extended to 118" like the Mercury, and custom rear bumpers made from '58-60 Corvette trumpet bumpers, a '62 T-Bird front push bar and the tips from a '67 Camaro. These are some of the major changes and there are many more. The car is powered by a Ford 390 FE motor with a factory tri-power intake & carbs. It has a 4 speed top loader transmission and a Ford 9" rear end

1953 Ford Victoria
The car was built in 1953/1954 by the famous Clarkaiser shop out of Detroit, Mi and was shown in 1955 and 1956 at the Ford Rotunda show. It was pictured in a bunch of the old car craft magazines which I do have. I had big plans to do a frame-off restoration and bring it back to the 2 tone silver/grey version, but started to realize time and space is going to be a problem for a while since we lost our shop/garage this summer and don't have to place to take it apart. Since I bought it, I made it a little more period correct and made it a cool driver. When I bought it had a 289/auto on the floor with the tilt column and etc which looked terrible, so I was put a good running flathead and 3 speed in it with a nice original ford accessory K steering wheel, like how it was back in the day, also the rear was changed because I didn't like the 4.11s in the rear so I wanted something that was more highway friendly and the trans is actually an original 53 o/d trans but I never had a change to hook up the o/d.
Like I mentioned I had plans to restore the car, so that means this car DOES need work and was restored in the 80s and does show its signs of age which means, cracks, bubbles and etc so the body should be stripped down and done correctly. The interior a is actually in pretty decent shape, the headliner I was told is the original custom headliner and i believe the door panels and sun visors also may be the originals of when the car was originally shown as they look similar in age.
1953 Ford Victoria restyled by Clarkaiser Custom Shop for Frank and Charles Gilardone. Clarkaiser fit the car with a unique 1953 Ford Meteor grille assembly. The headlights were frenched and modified with handmade sheet-metal shades. Teeth from the upper bumper of a 1953 Mercury were installed inside the scoop in the hood. The front bumper was relieved of all trim. The taillight shades were also hand formed out of sheet metal. The rear license plate was inset into the rear deck panel. For a smooth look, the bumper guards were removed from the rear bumper.[3] The top on the car was chopped 2 1/2 inches. The restyling took place around 1953-1954. In 1955 the car was exhibited at Ford's own rod and kustom show at the Rotunda auditorium in Dearborn, Michigan.[1]This version of the car was painted black.[4] The car was also shown at the Rotunda in 1956. By then it had been painted silver.[5]
