Re: Norton Choppers
Built in Austria, its platform is a 1972 Norton Commando 850 cc engine and Norton 4-speed transmission housed in a shop hand made frame with a 43-degree rake. Not too fast, but very light (gas tank, rear fender, seat are polished aluminum), it rolls on 2 x 21″ wheels dressed in Avon Speedmaster and brakes via a Grimeca drum brake in front and a sprocket brake in the rear. Shop owners Bernhard Naumann and Martin Lagler fabricated the awesome stainless steel Girder type front end and the exhaust system. A very stylish 70′s era cruise
