1950 Ford Chopped Shoebox
1950 Ford 2 door Shoebox, Chopped top 3 1/2 inches, newly painted November 2016, newly chromed everything including bumpers, rounded bumpers, nosed and peaked hood, 1955 Desoto grill, 32' brass radiator, rebuilt flathead v8, full 4 way air ride suspension, Coker radial whitewall tires, real deal 57' caddy hubcaps with Moon eyes bullet centers, Smithy glass pack exhaust, 3 speed stock manual on the tree, magic air ventilation, push button flame thrower exhaust, shaved handles/mirrors/gas door/trunk, 144 louveres in hood, frenched headlights/tail lights/ dual antenna's, newly finished headliner, electric radiator fan, stereo CD player in glove box with 3 way kick panel speakers, disc brakes in the front on stock clip

1949 Ford
EXTERIOR: Rare chopped top convertible. It has a laser straight, clean body. All of the handles, trim, locks, emblems have been removed and filled. The round indent was removed from the front of the hood and made straight across. Headlights are frenched. It has a custom fitted grill, blue dot taillights and ribbed fender skirts. Doors and trunk open by remote. The paint is beautiful. Very polished and even smooth to the touch. Show quality but it does have some touch ups. It has some great custom pin striping. The big fat white walls are radials and have Cadillac hubcaps. The chrome front and back is show quality. New windshield was chopped and v-butted. Side glass was chopped and tinted. The convertible is white. The framework is painted maroon and has new rubber.
INTERIOR: Upholstered in true 50s style custom it's all white pleated. Even custom mats were made with pleated inserts. All the metal trim is painted a smooth glossy maroon. The chrome trim on the dash looks new, the instrument cluster looks mint. There is a modern digital gauge cluster under the dash to monitor the engines vitals. There is also also a modern stereo. It has a Vintage Heat and Air system. The tilt column has a LeCarra leather grip steering wheel. There are seatbelts in the front.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The firewall is clean and smooth, painted the body color. The inner fenders are painted a smooth gloss black. In the middle of it is a beautifully dressed 350 Chevy motor. It is full of polished aluminum parts. The intake is polished smooth and it has an Edelbrock carb with electric choke, HEI ignition and headers. The valve covers, air cleaner, alternator bracket, plug wire holders are all matching finned aluminum. The alternator is chrome, a/c compressor is polished. It has a big new radiator with a polished overflow bottle. It uses the fan on the engine and also has an auxiliary electric fan in front.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Bottom side of trunk lid is painted body color, new weatherstrip. The compartment is carpeted. Has jack and spare. The battery was relocated to the trunk and is in a sealed box. The gas door was filled and smoothed so the filler is in the trunk.
UNDERSIDE: The floors and frame are very clean original metal. They have been cleaned and painted. Upfront there is a Fatman independent suspension with tubular control arms, rack & pinion steering and disc brakes. Bottom of the motor is still clean, has chrome flywheel cover and high torque starter. Has turbo 350 trans, looks fresh. In back it has Ford 9 inch rear with a 3.00 highway gear and custom 48 inch leaf springs with lowering blocks. New brake master, shocks and recent dual exhaust.
This is a beautiful 50s custom. Most chopped convertibles have a lift off top. It's great that someone took the time and made it a working convertible. This is a great cruiser!
