1959 Thrill Show car King Midget

Auto Thrill Show car. This is a 1959 King Midget that was used in the Rotroff All Girl Auto Thrill Show. I purchased this car about 12 years ago from Mr. Chester Rotroff. Mr. Rotroff was one of the greatest auto thrill show promoters ever. He came up with the idea to have all girl stunt drivers. This King Midget was used by the show clowns to entertain the spectators between stunts. Mr. Rotroff purchased the car new in 1959 from King Midget Motors located in Athens, Ohio. After several attempts to purchase the car at a discount Mr. rotroff finally persuaded Midget Motors to sell him the car at a 50% discount as he would advertise the car in his Thrill Show Programs. He then had the car modified for his show. The car was used at shows throughout the USA from 1959 to the early 1970's. The current paint/ lettering theme was done during the early 1970's. Most of the shows took place at Midwestern fairs, however Mr. Rotroff did take the show to the international level so it is very possible that this car also performed out of the USA.  The car is in running/driving condition and has multiple antique lights and sirens installed.
