1932 FORD HIGHBOY ROADSTER
this 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster 2dr that was built in 1997. This beautiful car is painted in black base coat - clear coat with custom flames. The body is Westcotts (fiberglass), Rootleib steel louvered hood, 37 Ford tail lights, custom license plate frame, and custom chopped windshield. The frame is a custom 32 reproduction. It consists of boxed and custom cross members, dropped I beam front axle, rearend 9” Ford, coil-over shocks, 4-bar suspension, rear drum brakes, disc front brakes, custom stainless brake lines and ....etc. Even the front and rear end suspensions are done in chrome. As for the engine, this beautiful Roadster is being powered by a 49 Mercury flat head that consists of a 4” STROKE Mercury crankshaft, Fenton headers, Mallory ignition, 97 Stromberg carbs, and Dual Offenhauser intake. Transmission is a C4 Ford with Lokar shifter. So it does drive and shift a good as it looks!!!!!!!!
The luxurious red leather custom interior highly compliments this 32 Ford very well. The vehicle speaks for itself as you’ve probably already noticed in the pictures.
Last but not least, this Roadster sits on a nice set of custom stock style wheels and new set of Coker tires. Front tires are P195/75R15 and rear are P235/75R15.

32 Ford Roadster Hot Street Traditional Rod
my 1932 Roadster. It is built to replicate the show cars of 1959-1962. This car was built by me, for me, between October 2011 and May 2013. Everything except for the final paint and clear was done by me so ask any tech questions you want. Here goes.
I started with a fiberglass 1932 Ford Roadster body from Carl Cain at Cains Hot Rods in New York. The doors were properly gapped and electric poppers added as was the trunk before being set on a fully custom frame. The fenders were also shown some custom treatment with the entire lip around the end being shaved. This trick adds some individuality. White pleated material covers the running boards. Note the door knob grille, a nod to the early 60's cars of the day. Also, check out the "Moon" style tank, lack of a headlight bar, and white running gear. All early 60's.
The frame started with ASC Rails that were fully boxed. A modified front cross member was added as were custom center and rear cross members. I also built the front radius rods and rear truck arm suspension to keep the axles in place. The front axle is a dropped and drilled Super Bell unit. TCI Front Discs handle the stopping along withe rear Drums. The rear axle is a 10 bolt Chevy with a 3.70 ratio open center section.
A Tanks gas tank holds 16 gallons and provides the juice for the 305 Chevy and TH350. An Edelbrock 600 Electric Choke feeds the fule thru an Edelbrock Endurashine Intake. The engine was examined and re-assembled as part of the building process adding a new timing set, new oil pump, ignition, etc. The transmission was completely rebuilt including a new converter and a B&M shift kit. Chrome and Polished Aluminum was used throughout the drivetrain.
The interior was done by me in a white rolled and pleated design. The seat is from a '30 Model A Coupe. The gauges are from BWD (Borg Warner). The speedo is a 60's Stewart Warner and is not hooked up. I always use the tach as a speedo anyway and with GPS, who really cares?? The steering column has a removable steering wheel and 2:1 quickener. With a light as the car is, it turns easy. The column connects to Borgeson and Sweet U-Joints and a new Vega box

32' Ford Truck
1932 Ford cab is chopped 4", no bondo in cab top, typical patch panels in bottom floor of cab. 1933 Ford truck bed is chopped. 1937 Ford front axle and wishbone with later 1940's juice brakes. 1950's SoCal custom frame made of 2"x3" box tubing. 1972 Ford 9" rear end. 12 gallon aluminum keg gas tank. Coker Front Tires: Firestone 2 ¾" Whitewall 560-15; Coker Rear Tires: Firestone 2 ¾" Whitewall 710-15, also have 4 Speedway Motors Snap-on Moon Disc Caps: 15".
Custom Built 1963 Mopar 413 Wedge "RB" BIG BLOCK MOTOR; Motor Stat's: 40 over bore, balanced, decked, sonic tested for cracks, steel crank, rebuilt heads, Edelbrock intake single four barrel carburetor, Hilborn Style Mini Hot Rat Rod Single Aluminum Hood Scoop, carb jetted, new metering rods, new pistons and rings, rods resized, new valves, new springs, new valley pan, new raised intake manifold, new water pump, rebuilt radiator rear mount, new radiator cooling lines, new voltage regulator, new fuel pump; new alternator, new speedo and gauges with new wiring, 727 automatic transmission, headers with dump tubes, The engine has $8,500.00 in machine work and rebuild cost alone with less than 1,800 miles and is a very healthy motor.
The RB "Raised-Block" are (taller) engines, produced from 1959 to 1979, and are versions of the B engines. Chrysler's RB engines are a series of big-block V8s which in 1958 replaced the first-generation Hemi engines. The RB engines use wedge-shaped combustion chambers. The wedge engine got its name because it had wedge-shaped combustion chambers rather than hemispherical ones. This gave it outstanding performance without the added weight and manufacturing expense of the hemi engine. Stock in 1963 with a 4-Barrel Carb Max Brake Horsepower: 360 @ 4600 rpm, Max Torque: 470 @ 2800 rpm. The 413 produced 375 maximum horsepower and could be purchased with the cross-ram setup option. Stock RB engines have a 3.75 in (95 mm) stroke, with the bore being the defining factor in engine size. Bore center distance is 4.84 inches (123 mm), Compression: 10.1. All stock RBs are over square. Design features include 17 cap screws per cylinder head, a cylinder block that extends 3 inches (76 mm) below the crankshaft centerline, an intake manifold not exposed to crankcase oil on the underside, stamped-steel valley pan, shaft-mounted rocker arms, and a front-mounted oil pump driven by the camshaft. The 413s were a streetcar considered to be one of the few engines specifically manufactured for street racing within that era.

1932 FORD SEDAN
built 1932 Ford sedan. This car hit the show circuit mid-summer 2012, and has not looked back! First we nabbed the GOODGUYS Builders Choice Award in Columbus, Ohio, and then the N.S.R.A. Pro’s Pick in Louisville, Kentucky--and both with no upholstery! With the upholstery finished, on we went to GOODGUYS in Indy to become part of the top five for Hotrod of the Year. For the season finale, we drove the sedan all the way to Daytona Beach, Florida where photographer Steve Coonan shot the car for RODDER’S JOURNAL Number Fifty-Eight
