1963 Parati Chair & Ottoman | Design: Sergio Rodrigues | Designed for the lobby of Brasilia’s Itamaraty Palace, which houses the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil. It was an instant hit due to its modern, seemingly floating, design and ultra comfort and named after the city of Parati.

Architect and designer Sergio Rodrigues has been dubbed the father of Brazilian furniture with his career peaking in the 1950s and 1960s. His most famous work is the 1957 Sheriff’s Chair.
