1957 Mercury Montclair lead sled

1955 Mercury Montclair 2 door Show Quality Custom. Some history... Customized and displayed at the Detroit Autorama in the early 70's. The interior is from a 66 Thunderbird including the wrap around rear seat. A 64 Marauder grill was added along with a simulated convertible top, bubble skirts and continental kit. These were all done back in the 70's It was purchased back in 2014 and brought to the east coast. The car underwent cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. The body was refinished in a Stunning metal flake gold with hand painted pin stripes throughout. This car Sparkles in the sunlight ! The body lines are straight and true. Door, hood and trunk close nice. The exterior bright work and chrome are beautiful. There is some minor pitting around the vent windows. This is very minor. The interior is finished in white with matching metal flake inserts. Headliner, door panels, trunk and vinyl top were all re-done at the same time. Mechanically the car is near perfect. The underside is clean. There are a few floor supports that would require some attention at a later date. Not awful. It's powered by a reliable 350/3 speed automatic. Some options include...power steering, power disc brakes,dual exhaust,Vintage air conditioning, modern stereo, system, tilt wheel and more.
