Debbie's Dream House - plastic mid-century mod showplace from Marx Toys - 1963

Debbie's dream house : The console television/turntable/receiver is the one part of Debbie’s house I have. To give you an idea of the scale of the house, this piece is 7½ inches / 19 cms.

This plastic dollhouse with cardboard foundation is a single-story 1960 futuristic home. The walls and furniture are a hard plastic. Comes with hard to find accessories: glasses, ashtrays, candy dishes, and lazy susan on dining table. It has a working doorbell. The bedroom has a closet with sliding doors. Has the original bedspread, chaise lounge “cushion”, and umbrella (all made of heavy paper). The base of the assembled house is 36" x 21". The house is made of panels with notches that hook each panel together. Further enforced with notches on the underside which fit into holes in the foundation – they are clipped on the underside. Comes with bag of clips and a few extras.
