Sport car racer

This 1954 Kurtis racer is fully restored and powered by a Dodge Red Ram Hemi V8 and an Offy triple-carb system.



The Kurtis specials always seemed the meanest, with first-gen Corvette body lines taken to the extreme. This one remains registered on original black plates, but has been fully restored for racing. The straight side pipes and black steelies are perfect period items as it would have been raced at the old Santa Barbara Airport.



The craftsmanship on this rebuilt is of a very high quality, with clean chromed nerf bars, grille insert, and stone guards. The dash and interior are equally nice. We like the padded wheel and the silver gauge cluster.



With an engine like this, who needs a Corvette? This Hemi is amazing, and has a beautiful polished Offenhauser intake manifold. The hard fuel lines and distribution block to the cars is very well crafted.



This is a beautiful and rare race car, and built in a way as it would have been seen in a 50′s race paddock.
