1960 Buick LeSabre Convertible - Melanie and Fred Orr - Keith Kaucher
After buying her Buick in 2004, Melanie Orr and her husband Fred drove it and showed it for a couple years before meeting designer Keith Kaucher, who helped them re-imagine the convertible in its current extraordinary form, with all the style of a ’60s show car. The project bounced from shop to shop until JH Restorations took over to finish the car the way the Orrs wanted it. The custom gold paint, brass chromed moldings, one-off 18-inch Mike Curtis wheels, and off-white pearl leather upholstery make the Buick shine bright, inspiring the name “Lectrafied”. The 2x4-carbed 401 Buick Nailhead is backed up with a TH400 trans. RideTech air suspension set the big Buick down to the ground.
