Dite moi si je me trompe, mais le top chop est loupé et la caisse vraiment trop haute sur pattes..
...sinon l’intérieur est pas trop mal...

Re: Chevy 1953 - 1954 custom & mild custom galerie

1953 Chevy Custom - "Moonglow" - Award Winning Tribute
We are pleased to bring you "Graeme's amazing Tribute to one of America's Most Famous 50's Kustoms"! Capturing an era gone by is not an easy task, we certainly feel it's worth your time to pull up a chair, revisit good times and enjoy this vision of yesterday, today...
Let's step back in time with thoughts of cruising thru Bellflower, California 1952-1962. Duane Steck, a young Commercial Artist and a Member of the Renegades Car Club "dreamed of building a 1954 Chevy Hardtop Radical Custom". His imagination became a reality in the front yard of his Lakewood, California home, where he used his own hands with simple means, to magically perform many subtle body modification's, masterfully enhancing the already smooth factory lines, his vision and creativity would become part of Automotive History...
The completed "Moonglow" first graced the cover of "Car Craft" Magazine in January of 1957 and slightly modified, it later re-appeared on the cover of "Custom Cars", March 1960. In 1962, after several years of accolades, some changes, many articles and numerous trophies, it was traded in for a Sports Car and sadly crushed. Long gone and years later, it's memory continues. Duane's visionary Kustom has been recognized as one of the "Most Famous Cars Ever Built in America", Rod & Custom Magazine" listed it in it's "Top 20 Pick", "Hall of Fame", "Custom Cars of The 50's" 1993, Rodder's Journal 1994, Barris Kustom 1996, Rod & Custom Top 50 - 2003. A "Dream Come True", created under the Glow of the Moon, Wink-Wink...
Fast forward, more than 50's years later, as it has done in the past, "Moonglow" would continue to inspire. The current owner/builder, Graeme Tait, set out to pay tribute with something he could step back in time with, show, drive and share with countless others. Revisiting every article and studying every available bit of information Graeme embarked on a journey that would encompass over 12 years, 6,000 man hours and plenty of coin...
Starting with an impeccable accident/rust free Southern California example, the body modifications where placed in the capable hands of a skilled Professional Coach Builder from England utilizing an English wheel and power hammer to create this masterpiece out of steel. Since it's completion, this amazing show quality Tribute has also racked up the awards including 2008 Good-Guys "Coolest Custom", "Street Rod Award" and "Best of 100", Billet Proof Chehalis "Best Custom" and "Ladies Choice, World of Wheels "Outstanding Custom" and many more. Now it's your turn to "Touch" History...
