1932 Ford - Friendly Persuader - Purple Trophy Eater - The Farroni Brothers

This sweet little ride was built in 1956 and was featured as a cover spread in Soup-Up magazine in 1960 and Custom Rodder magazine where they nick-named it the "Purple Trophy Eater" because it captured over 30 Trophy's in the short time it was on the circuit and started out as a $25.00 heap!. The Farronis have owned this baby for over 45 years!

The engine is a 1953 Oldsmobile with 324 cubic inches. It has all been chromed except for the actual block. The juice is fed into this engine by Six Stromberg carburetors mounted on a home made intake manifold. It has a Racer Brown cam, lifters and push-rods and the spark is generated by a Vertex Magneto.

The interior is done in a very clean fashion with a custom dash full of gauges with a chrome steering column and a custom steering wheel. Even the aftermarket turn signal devise is fully chromed! The seats are done in a brown and white tone while the carpeting is black. Between the bucket seats is a fire extinguisher. The Body is channeled eight inches and the Grill shell was chopped four inches. The paint is a Metallic Lavender color with a Cream colored top and pin striping done in white very tastefully. The antenna is recessed.

The power is transferred to the transmission through a Sheiffer Aluminum Flywheel and clutch assembly. This sends the power back to a 1940 Ford rear-end with a Halibrand Quick Change! The chromed Mag Wheels are all wrapped in Firestone Rubber.
