 1950 Mercury Convertible "Lead Rag"
After nearly ten years of enjoyment, it's time for me to sell my all time favorite car. This is possibly the chance of a lifetime to own a real 1950 Mercury Convertible that has all the cool custom touches of only the best Lead Sleds. I call her the Lead Rag, which stands for Lead Sled Rag Top. She's been in magazines, won lots of top trophies and given me hours of great times. She is a driver too, this is no trailer queen you can drive her anywhere you want.

Here's a partial list of options:
Chopped top convertible with Haartz canvas top and boot cover and yes it works.
351 W Ford engine with AOD trans and a 9" Lincoln rear end.
4 wheel disk brakes, Fat Man front end, A/C, cruiser skirts, 
Ground effect lights under the car, Dual exhaust with Flame Throwers and 4 link Air Ride suspension by the Bagman.
53 DeSoto grille, 57 Caddie hubcaps and air cleaner
59 Caddie taillights, dual electric antennas and they are all frenched in.
Custom paint with multi-color flames and awesome pin stripping by "Styles".
Full leather interior, including the trunk. 
Real Appleton spotlights, 
Booming great stereo with sub-woofer built into center consol.
Molded in side pipes with Mercury Man covers.
Diamond Back classic wide white wall tires.

MULTIPLE SHOW WINNER 1950 Merc custom. Chopped, frenched and bagged. Custom color with ghost flames and custom interior. Built 6 years ago and wins trophies at every show. Drivetrain is a Chevy 350 with a TH350. Everything was rebuilt or new. Has some paint chips now from use. Engine compartment also dressed for shows. Power steering just added along with Flaming River chrome steering column. Interior 9/10 Exterior 9/10

Custom 1950 Mercury, I'll start with the body- chopped-hood trunk & door corners rounded-frenched shaved & molded-shaved narrowed front bumper-floating grille-frenched 1950 Ford taillights with bubble lenses-shaved rear bumper with custom 1960 Cadillac grille guard made into bumper spreader bar between bumper guards. electric doors & trunk. 1985 Corvette 350 motor with hi-rise & Holly carburetor, 700R automatic transmission with shift kit  from factory,9" Ford rear end. Power steering ,front power disc brakes.Interior is rolled & pleated with a 1957 Chevy dash board,powerful stero/cd/dvd player with amps & 10 speakers. Rolled & pleated trunk. Car has been built about 4 years & I have put 4,386 trouble free miles on it. It won best lowered lid at Columbus Good Guys 2010,1st place in custom class at Glenmore car show in Canton Ohio & 3rd place custom class Detroit autorama 2012 plus a trophy about every local show for something

“Lil Darlin” comes with a full size display of features for car shows, several plaques from the James Dean Car Shows, and a book of photographs from the build. This car is autographed by George Barris on the firewall!
