1948 Chevy Suburban Clamshell.
Two tone paint job, the top is a candy Tangerine paint with very little gold micro flake, the bottom area of the suburban is a 2011 toyota sunset bronze metallic with very little gold micro flake. The tangerine portion of the paint job is just about perfect, the bottom bronze area has some flaws such as some light scratches, there is a small crack on the bottom of the drivers side front fender in the paint job. The paint is not perfect but shows very well! The Suburban has new brown tuck and roll interior. The Suburban has all the original painted seat frames with the passenger jump seat all in tact and working as it should. I have matching seat belts for the kids but not installed yet & included with this sale. All new chrome inside and out, including steering column, shifter rod and shifter. All re built gauges newly refaced with re chromed bezels. The original radio has been refaced with new knobs & buttons. The radio does not work & is missing a fuse. The speaker grill & ash tray on the dash has been rechromed, the glove box door is new with a new glove box apron and rubbers. The Hydraulics have been gone thew with re o ringed pumps, & re o ringed cylinders, all 4 new batteries for the hydraulics , new hydraulic solenoids, the previous owner did the hydraulic installation with extended a arms with new ball joints, all done correctly. The hydraulics has a custom switch box. 95% of the Suburban has new wiring. The top half of the 1954 Chevy 235 motor is brand new or re built, New aluminum radiator with new electric fan. Re: 1930's & 1940's Low Riders
Chris’s ’40 was one of the first rides that caught our eyes at the show. Sitting atop a grassy knoll it oozed West Coast soul. From that slick look that only quarter skirts fully covering the rear tires can impart, rocker panels hugging the ground, to the the split visor and classic two-tone color scheme. Chris’s ’40 nails, to us, the definition of a traditional resto-mod–a majority of parts and accessories are kept true to the make, model, and era while it boasts a few modifications short of it being considered a mild-custom.
This South San Francisco native has a keen eye for a style. “Originally the car came out of the Valley in Visalia. A friend of mine purchased it, but didn’t do anything with it. I told him he had to sell that piece of…” Chris paused and laughed as he gave us some background.
Chris’s buddy eventually made an offer to him and he took it off his hands. He continued, “The thing basically came in five boxes, how’s that for an idea of its original condition?”
This Buick has definitely come a long way from the images that Chris conjured up for us. The powertrain is a 350 ci/400R4 combo and drivetrain is punctuated by a ’57 Buick rearend. It features a front disc break conversion, front and rear air suspension, functioning AC, and power rack and pinion–enough modern updates comprising the foundation to make it a breeze when it comes to hanging on today’s modern roads.

1947 CHEVY FLEETLINE
THE FLEETLINE IN IN VERY GOOD WORKING ORDER, THE FLEETLINE STARTS RIGHT UP EVERY TIME WITH NO ISSUES. THE FLEETLINE HAS A CHEVY 235 OUT OF A 1957 CHEVY. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE MOTOR REBUILT APPROXIMATELY 20K MILES AGO SO THE ODOMETER IS NOT CORRECT.
THE CHEVY HAS SPLIT STRAIGHT PIPES WITH DUAL HEADERS THAT RAP VERY LOUD! THE MOTOR RUNS VERY STRONG AND WILL DO 60 ON THE HIGHWAY. THE FLEETLINE HAS A ELECTRIC FAN TO KEEP THE CAR COOL ON THEM HOT SUMMER DAYS.
ALL GEARS SHIFT AS THEY SHOULD WITH NO ISSUES. ALL RUNNING GEAR IS ORIGINAL WITH 4 INCH LOWERING BLOCKS IN THE REAR. THE DEMON 5.60 WHITE WALL TIRES ARE BRAND NEW, ALONG WITH A SET OF FLOATER NAKED LADY HUB CAPS.
THE ENTIRE FLEETLINE WAS REWIRED ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. THE ENGINE & ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS A LITTLE DIRTY & CAN USE SOME DETAIL. ALL BRAKE LIGHTS, HEAD LIGHTS, TAIL LIGHTS, & THE FLEETLINE ALSO HAS BLINKER LIGHTS THAT ALL WORK AS THEY SHOULD.
THE INTERIOR IS VERY CLEAN, THE CARPET IS BRAND NEW, THE HEADLINER IS NEW, THE DOOR PANELS ARE NEW, THE KICK PANELS ARE NEW, & THE CARPETED BOXED TRUNK IS BRAND NEW. THE FRONT AND BACK SEATS ARE NOT NEW BUT ARE IN VERY GOOD DRIVER CONDITION, THE REAR SEATS HAVE SEAT BELTS FOR THE KIDS.
THE DASH IS WOODGRANDED & SHOWS NICE WITH CLEAN STAINLESS & ALL CHROME DASH MOLDINGS. THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE WORKS, THE AFTERMARKET TEMPERATURE GAUGE WORKS, HOWEVER THE GAS GAUGE DOES NOT WORK, THE SPEEDOMETER ALSO JUST STOPPED WORKING & I BELIEVE THE SPEEDO CABLE BROKE WHICH IS A VERY EASY CHEAP FIX, ALL THE GAUGE LIGHTS WORK. I HAVE A AFTERMARKET SOUND SYSTEM IN THE FLEETLINE THAT INCLUDES TWO BOSTON ACOUSTIC MIDS IN THE KICK PANELS, TWO FOUR WAY PIONEER 6X9'S IN THE REAR PACKAGE TRAY & A PIONEER CD UNIT THAT IS BLUETOOTH CAPABLE, WITH THE IPOD OR AUX INPUTS.
THE DRIVER DOOR WINDOW DOES HAVE A CRACK BUT OTHER THAN THAT ALL OTHER GLASS IS FREE OF ANY CRACKS. THE REAR WINDOW HAS A SET OF VENATION REAR WINDOW BLINDS. THE STEERING WHEEL IS AN ORIGINAL BANJO WHEEL THAT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE BANJO WHEEL HAS A ORIGINAL FULTON SUICIDE KNOB IN GREAT CONDITION. THE HORN WORKS & IS VERY LOUD, THE BLINKER BOX IS VINTAGE & IN GREAT WORKING ORDER WITH CHROME THAT LOOKS GREAT.
