kustomized into a roadster WAY back in 1946. the car was owned by a guy named max king from morristown, nj...i believe the windshield was from a 36 cord....the car has survived, and i've actually been fortunate enough to see it in person...photos are from rik hovings custom car chronicles photo archives

The history of this car is incredible ..... I first seen this car at the Morris County fair in 1956.... I tracked the car down in approx 1980 and had the chance to buy it..... A bad economy and lack of funds and I have been kicking myself for years.... On another note.. Richard Korkes "Korky's Kustoms did a substantial amount of work on this car....

Je te jurerais pas que j'avais reconnu une Merc la premiere fois que je l'ai vue C'est un survivor retrouvée il y a quelques années et restaurée . Je crois qu'elle a un dossier sur le Fotki de rik hoving je vais voir si je la retrouve

This is a car that chad built in 2008 first year he took a car to Moncton Nationals. He has since built it up under the hood. Since selling the super bird he has set his mind on finishing this as he daily driver for the summer! Meaning the truck has been put on hold! This car started as a 1960 Chrysler. The wings have been extended over 12 inches into the air. The roof has been cut in half and shortened 22 inches. The two back windows are the two side doors off of a van. made a dorsel fin in between the two windows. 1950 pontiac tail lights have been frenched into the back. The rear end has been lowered by 4 inches and the front left high. It will have side pipes with covers. Front end was cut off and Chad fabricated his own. the hood is extended 5 inches. The grill was created by Chad with door handle pushes. The motor is 1970 440 with a cross ram with two 600 hollys. 3 speed automatic transmission with a 2500 stall convertor. The bumper has been smoothed and recromed. New stainless steel side pipes. Chad has always referred to this car as the bat out of hell but is considering re naming it to the preacher because of the way he is planning on painting it! Time will tell
