1939 Chevrolet
1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Street Rod with 44,190 miles on the car since its restoration. The car is finished in a Light Blue with a complementary Gray Cloth interior and is in overall, very nice condition.
This 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe was a Tennessee car before coming to Massachusetts. She has a 350 cu in motor coupled to a 350 Transmission. The front end is from a Mustang and the rear end is from a Nova. We have power brakes with discs on the front there are also electric doors which are currently non-functioning. The front end was rebuilt 2 years ago and the windshield was recently refitted with a fresh seal.

1932 CHEVROLET 5-window
BODY-
This is a rare car you don't see everyday rebuilt in a way that makes it truly unique. You will not find another 32 Chevy like this one. We started with an original steel body that had been left for dead and took all the old rotten wood out so we could build a new steel skeleton to support the body. After we got it all squared up and had the doors functioning again, we installed new bearclaw style door latches and chopped the top 4.5 inches. We also reconstructed almost the whole lower half of the body panels to get rid of all the old rusted out pieces. The body is now very solid and the doors open and shut great. The floors were constructed of new 16 gauge steel with a full sub-floor made of 3/4” square tube. The dash is another custom touch, it's made from a 57 Bel-Air gauge cluster and an old bumper from an unknown source and a LOT of modifications. The grill shell wasn't with the car when we bought it, so we opted for a 32 Ford grill shell then cut it down and made a custom insert for it.
CHASSIS-
The frame is fully custom built for this car. The front clip is made from 3/16” plate on the top and bottom of the rails and 1/8” for the side plates. The holes are filled with Schedule 40 pipe for strength. The front crossmember is made from 3/16” steel. The back and center part of the frame are made from 2x3 box steel with a full inner “X” structure made from 1” Schedule 40 pipe.
SUSPENSION AND STEERING-
The suspension is a pretty basic setup. It has the spring over axle leaf springs up front. In the back we used a Medium arch leaf spring setup from Speedway Motors and ladder bars. We also put a set of air shocks in the rear to let you have a little bit of adjustment in the rear. The steering is a brand new Chrome vega box with the pitman arm ran through the largest hole in the frame. The steering column is a brand new column from speedway motors equipped with a quick release hub to take the steering wheel off easily.
ELECTRICAL-
The wiring and switches on this car are all new. The tail lights are frenched in motorcycle taillights (they appear to be model A ford lights with a custom made grill that covers them.) The headlights are original 32 Chevy Headlights that have been updated with new Halogen bulbs. It does have working turn signals on ALL FOUR corners! The front signals are hidden inside the headlights.
DRIVETRAIN-
The engine is a internally stock 350 SBC that has been updated with a polished aluminum air gap intake, holley carb, new water pump, billet puleys, new 1-wire alternator, and polished valve covers and scoop. The Transmission is a 400TH automatic trans. The rearend is a GM rear out of a Police Package '95 caprice, the rear is equiped with all new oversized drum brakes and 3.08 gear ratio. The front brakes are GM disc brakes. The master cylinder is a new manual brake cylinder for a 1980 Camaro. For cooling this coupe is equiped with an aluminum radiator and an electric fan that is hidden behind the grill insert. The gastank is a huge fabricated tank that we estimate to hold aroung 15-18 gallons. It has a sight gauge on the outside that can be seen between the seats by simply looking over your shoulder.
TRUNK-
This car unlike many hot rods you see out there does have a trunk! It isn't a large one, after all the suspension has to go somewhere, but it is big enough to hold some of your belongings on the way to a show. It can be locked as well, which is a good thing because inside the trunk is where the gas fill is located. You can also air the shocks up from the trunk.
