FENDER JAZZMASTER
The Jazzmaster was introduced in mid '58 in an attempt to enter the jazz market. It featured pickups specially designed to acheive a mellower tone and also has the distinction of being Fender's first guitar to make use of a rosewood fingerboard. While it failed to make an impact in the jazz market, it's unique tone, electronics and tremolo made it an instant hit with the emerging surf-guitar music of the '60's

FENDER esquire
The Fender Esquire was the first guitar sold by Fender in 1950. Shortly after its introduction, a two-pickup version named the Broadcaster was introduced. The single pickup version retained the Esquire name. At the time, the Gretsch Company had already marketed a drum set under the 'Broadkaster' name, and, at their request, Fender renamed it the 'Telecaster.' Although the one-pickup Esquire was manufactured first, it is now generally regarded as a variant of the more popular Telecaster.

GRETSCH Chet Atkins
The Gretsch company got a relatively early start with electric guitar production, selling their first models by 1939. However, it wasn't until 1954 that Gretsch became a major player in the electric market. The Electro-II was renamed the Country Club and steadily gained popularity. Two models that stand out the most from this time period of Gretsch are the 6120 Chet Atkins and the White Falcon. Gretsch has enjoyed a position as one of Americas classic guitar companies ever since.

FENDER Telecaster

Developed by Leo Fender and launched in 1950, the Broadcaster was soon changed to Telecaster to avoid confusion with the name of a drum model produced by Gretsch. It has remained a staple of the Fender line for nearly 60 years.

GRETSCH 6120

The Gretsch company got a relatively early start with electric guitar production, selling their first models by 1939. GIBSON Les Paul Special

Gibson's Les Paul Special was introduced as a variation of the Junior model in 1955. It was basically a two pickup version, with the same P90 pickups. Featuring a blonde/yellow finish instead of the typical sunburst, some were referred to as 'TV' models because they looked better on the black and white televisions of the era.

FENDER Stratocaster

Debatably the most popular electric guitar ever produced, the Fender Stratocaster has been in production for nearly 60 years. Multiple pickup combinations make it suitable for any style of music while forward thinking design provides a comfortable playing experience in the studio or on stage. Introduced in 1954, it has become an iconic instrument in rock history. Used by countless guitar legends, including Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore and Buddy Guy, it has remained in the forefront of guitar-based music for over half a century

GIBSON ES-225
The ES-225, always a favorite amongst rockabilly and blues players, is a milestone in the developement of the modern semi-hollow body electric guitar. Notable Feaures include the first ever reinforced top (intended specifically to reduce feedback), single P-90 pickup, and a trapeze tailpiece. It's most famous tone moment was when George Thorogood used it to record his signature song "Bad to the Bone".

The Guild Guitar line was founded as a quality alternative to the Gibson-Epiphone merger. Alfred Dronge, a professional guitarist and music store owner, and George Mann, a one-time Epiphone exec, formed a partnership and registered the Guild name in October of 1952. The partners set up shop in a 1500-square-foot New York City loft in the midst of two very important communities: the community of experienced craftsmen from the nearby Epiphone and Gretsch factories and the community of big-time jazz session guitarists performing and recording in New York.

Although introduced in 1952, the Gibson Les Paul didn't receive the official definition of "standard" until 1960. Built with a maple capped mahogany body and two PAF humbuckers, the standard would become the most desired and valuable electric guitar in history. Played by the likes of Duane Allman and Jimmy Page, it has truly become the "standard" rock/blues/jazz instrument.
