Re: 1950's Ford Gasser

57 Ford Custom GASSER
1957 Ford Custom GASSER
"BONE SHAKER"
Hilborn Injected 541 cubic inch "Boss 429"
This is an excellent example of the race cars that ran in the NHRA "Gasser" series from the late 50's to the early 70's. This 1957 Ford is no exception to the flamboyant cars, extravagant engines, and huge wheel stands that drew in the crowds 50 years ago and still puts a smile on your face today. The 541 cubic inch "Boss 429" (Fords Shotgun Motor) is not only impressive to look at but pulsates through your body. Its only fitting to have the rarest of the rare Hilborn mechanical fuel injection system and huge 2 1/2 in. custom Headers. This car is well sorted and ready to race as-is. The motor has six passes since being freshened with new bearings, gaskets, and seals. The current fastest 1/8th mile pass to date is 5.78 at 123 mph with a total car and driver weight of 3300 lbs. This car's 10 point cage is certified to 8.50 in the quarter mile.
The "Bone Shaker" is well known in the south east and has been featured in several magazines such as Hot Rod Deluxe, Street Rodder, Rod & Kulture, Drag Illustrated, and even Dragster Australia. This car looks, sounds, and performs amazing. This car fits in well in the racing scene and the show scene; it is truly a work of art. Everything on this car has a purpose with nostalgia in mind. This car features a 1946 Ford front axle with 1940 Ford split wish bones. This car has an original 60's MOON tank, Superior 14" steering wheel, Stewart Warner Gauges, but whats most impressive is the original Boss9 Hilborn Injection system (modified by Kinsler). Don't miss this opportunity to own this unique Gasser powered by one of Ford's most impressive and sought after power plants.
