1953 Mercury Monterey - Sincerely
This 1953 Mercury Monterey gives you that led sled style look in an even more distinctive hardtop body. And with the full custom treatment inside and out, you know it's just too cool not to have in your garage.

This Mercury has all the great traits of the legendary hot rods like the cat-eye headlights, frenched tail lights, shaved door handles, rear fender skirts, and dual spotlights. And the customized grille with color-matched lower bumper gives a very cool face forward. And of course, our favorite custom element has to be the paint. The white-hot flame at the front fades into a golden glow before going red at the tips. It's all highlighted further by border pinstriping that's a dividing line to the cheery coral paint that underlines it all. This is such a comprehensive and custom paint package that it has held up remarkably well over the years. And with bright chrome, extra pinstriping, and a lowered stance, you can't help but think that this cruiser really has it all.

A pillarless hardtop like this lets everyone see inside, and so they made sure the interior was done in a two-tone that is as impressive as the exterior. After all, the coral color returns inside, and they also have terrific custom details like tuck and roll inserts and contrast piping. And just look at all the custom pinstriping on the dash. This build is not brand new, but it has been treated with care. So that currently gives it a very cool overall impression where many people will even think you have a preserved coupe that was first customized back in the day. Heck, even the AM radio is still there for display.

Under the hood is a V8 power done with the kind of polish you expect on a custom build like this. Plus, this 307 cubic-inch motor has been upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Weiand intake. It gives you a good cruising power, and the glasspack style dual exhaust has the right tune you want for a custom coupe like this. Add in the three-speed automatic transmission and a more modern tread behind the classic whitewalls, and you can see how this Mercury wants to hit the boulevard
