1927 ford hot rod roadster . this is a fresh build with less than 500 miles on it . it has a 1966 283 SBC motor with lots of vintage speed equipment. 2 holley ford script carbs on top of the vintage speed adapter mounted to the early edelbrock TM1 mid rise intake . cal custom finned valve covers , edelbrock aluminum water pump , lots of CHROME (pulleys) and high volume mellings oil pump inside the CHROME oil pan , engine makes awesome oil pressure and is tight and trouble free.there is an early black top mallory dual point unit for ignition . there is a brand new CHROME powermaster high output alternator and a set of brand new polished stainless steel lakes style headers . TH 350 trans has a nice shift kit in it and shifts hard like it is supposed to ! there is a new CHROME lokar tall nostalgia shifter mounted to the trans . the front suspension is a CHROME dropped tube axle with CHROME spindles and CHROME shocks with CHROME backing plates and CHROME drums attached to a CHROME spring with CHROME steering arm and CHROME tie rod and CHROME hairpin radius rods . the rear suspension is CHROME coil overs mounted to a CHROME 57 chevy rear end with CHROME hair pin radius rods and CHROME backing plates and CHROME drums . you get the theme here ???....THIS CAR HAS SHOW CHROME EVERYWHERE the body is a deluxe body from speedway with a functional driver door . we installed a wood and steel skeleton in the body to prevent it from moving around at all and this body is tight . the windshield stanchions are polished aluminum smoothy units from speedway and the glass is a light tinted bronze to go well with the creamy wimbledon white paint on the body . the interior is heavy commercial grade black marine vinyl professionally installed ina real cool custom pattern that screams 60's show car with the bottom half being pleated and the top being smooth and the same theme brought into the seat pattern but flopped like they did it back in the day . all stainless marine quality fasteners were used to install it and it really adds to the overall look of the car .

this car gets a ton of attention , Chuck Vranas from street rodder magazine was shooting pics like crazy at the last show it was at . it will most definitely be seen in Street Rodder magazine when the show coverage from the Syracuse nationals is published in the mag. there were people crawling around under this thing and going crazy looking at all of the CHROME at the show . killer car at a killer price , you could not buy all of the parts used on this car for the reserve price . try paying some one to prep and chrome a 57 chevy rear end . HUH !!! that alone would be close to 3k drums and backing plates as smooth as a babies bottom would cost close to 1k to chrome etc.etc. there is over 5k in chrome alone here .there is countless hours of prep work in these parts to chrome them making it nearly un affordable for most people but the guy that originally chromed these parts owned a chrome shop in western NY so money wasn't an issue as far as that goes .

This little sucker is one fast and fun T Bucket. It's running a Chevy 350 engine with a "little" cam that gives it just the right lumpity lump, turbo 350 transmission, B&M Quicksilver shifter, Dana 41 rear end, dropped drilled beam up front with discs brakes. Dash has all the usual gauges....Speedo, Tach, Oil Pressure, Temp, and Volts...no gas gauge but you can look in the tank while sitting in it. The engine runs nice and cool even when its super hot outside.....there is an electric fan with switch just in case the temp climbs. The wiring and fuse block are under the seat, the interior is charcoal and black, with black carpet. Body is fiber glass and does have a few chips and a little spider webbing, paint is a dark charcoal, that looks black until the sun hits it, and as an added bonus, there is a door on the passenger side. Nice headers down the side with mufflers gives it a nice rumble, but not too loud.....well actually it is kind loud! Aluminum tank out back, red wheels with chrome trim, and fat white walls all around. Of course there is the standard AHOOGHA horn and an added bonus....a wolf whistle! It starts right up, runs great, and is the best steering T Bucket I have owned.....oh and it will light the tires in any gear when ya push on the go pedal.

If I was going to keep it I would paint it a flat color like black or red, change out the T Bucket style headers for some old timey Hot Rod zoomies, maybe toss on some reverse chrome wheels.

I think this tasty twin-engine T-Bucket for sale on eBay deserves some more exposure because of its many cool build details.

Besides, our recent post on Gordon Tronson’s “Double Trouble” T-Bucket created a lot of interest, so I’ll assume I’m not the only one fascinated by the idea of a street-driven T-Bucket with the power and visual impact of two engines.
 From all indications, this is a brand new build with very few miles (either 60 or 950, depending on which part of the listing you read) that was built to be street driven and which also has all the nicely finished details to make it a show winner. The fact that it’s built to reflect a “traditional” style T-Bucket is a nice bonus.

The twin 350 cubic inch Chevy small block engines have had the casting marks ground off so they present that pretty show quality finish.
 The dual Holley 94 carbs, scoops, see-through red plug wires and fuel lines and finned aluminum valve covers give a very nice traditional hot rod engine look.

And, if you’re inclined to want to save some bucks after buying this bucket, you can shut down the front engine to get 140 miles of cruising from the 11 gallon tank. That’s a nice 12.7 MPG.
 The sharp interior features a quick release steering wheel, spoon gas pedal, and tall Lokar shifter for the TH350 tranny.

The interior upholstery is Zodiak red metalflake vinyl with black vinyl accents, seat belts and carpet. To keep an eye on the engines, it features Dolphin black classic gauges reading Oil & Temp for each mill and an electronic speedometer.
 like the fact that this was built as a bobtail T, in the spirit of Marty Hollmann’s hugely influential T-Bucket. The bobtail look really accentuates the long wheelbase necessitated by the two engines.
 Of course, this wasn’t built to be a drag racer, so the Ford 7.5 rear end is plenty adequate for smoking those traditional looking pie crust cheater slicks.

The rear axle is suspended by coilover shocks and from the rear you’ll notice the nice, traditional Model A tail lights.
 The T grille shell conceals the 750 horsepower rated aluminum radiator and electric fan that take care of cooling both engines.

If you’re a regular follower of our blog here at TBucketPlans.com, you know that I don’t normally post or Tweet about T-Buckets for sale on eBay or other auction sites — unless, they’re particularly unique and deserving of further attention. MotoeXotica recently got our hands on a fantastic looking custom hot rod. In our showroom, we have an awesome 1927 Ford Track-T Custom Roadster. The exterior has a brilliant deep black paint job with painted bright orange flames on the front of the car. The flames are under a clear coat that helps the fire flicker under a bright sun.

The body is composed of fiberglass. There is a split wishbone front end, and the period-correct front and rear brakes will help give you a sense of safety as you crank this baby to top speed.

This custom hot rod comes with an Ididit tilt steering column to make access and driving much more comfortable. The dash houses a set of matching Stewart Warner gauges that are all functional including the blinkers, horn and headlights. The interior is orange color with black and is in excellent condition, perfect for Halloween and for fall coming into full swing.

The engine is a 3.8 L, V6 odd-fire GM motor. The body is a 2x4 steel frame. The painted wire wheels are matching orange 30’s Ford-style. Rear suspension is complete with air shocks. If you want to feel the wind wiz by, you can easily take off the removable hard top that is in excellent condition including the rear Plexiglas window.

 1923 Ford T-Bucket Roadster. Built as a Tribute to Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and his creation, Rat Fink. The motor is a Ford 240 cubic inch six cylinder with Clifford intake manifold and Holly 4 barrel carb. It has an automatic transmission, 4 wheel drum brakes that stop well. Comes with a T-Bucket design trailer for luggage etc. on long trips. This car was featured in the 2000 edition of Street Rod magazine.

1923 ford t bucket This car is trick and when it was build it was done right....
It's 9:1 compression. Camshaft is .630 lift 106 lobe separation exhaust valves 1.6 intake valves 2.02 yes the engine and transmission are 350 converter is 2500 stall nicely done. Please see photos.
Motor has less then 100 miles in it the intake has 2 miles new carb new pinstripe custom one off pipes. The car is reg as a 1923, has roller cam and roller rocker.

In case you haven't noticed the Model T is back and it's back in a big way. Well, OK, maybe it is no real threat to the Deuce, but we are seeing more of these cars again. The Model T had pretty much gone the way of a phone booth-nearly extinct. Of course the fact the Model T and a phone booth share a lot of styling elements is fairly obvious, but while the phone booth is no doubt doomed, the Model T coupes and sedans are enjoying a revival of sorts.

What brought about this renaissance is not perfectly clear, but the rat rod movement was no doubt a contributor to the square car resurgence. After all, whack the top a half-foot, channel it another half-foot and there was a wicked profile and still enough glass to see the outside world. Now none of this was lost on Paul Duval, a longtime street rodder from Hendersonville, North Carolina. As a matter of fact, when he purchased this coupe it was a running rat rod that had two things he was looking for: a Flathead engine and an attitude.

Plan A was to simply clean things up a bit, remove some of the clutter, like side-mounted spare tires, and simply enjoy the car in all its patina glory. Ah, but the best laid plans of street rodders often go awry and when it was suggested that the top was a bit too tall there was but one cure. The roof was deftly cut 6 inches in the front and a mere 4 inches in the rear. This great hot rod roof rake amplified the attitude of the coupe and of course talk then turned to the fact that maybe, just maybe, this car was way too cool to be left in an unfinished state. The good news is you can take the body off the frame on a fenderless car in no time.

So the Model T coupe underwent a complete rebuild with attention to detail and attitude dealt with in equal portions. In keeping with Henry's legendary wishes the car remains black, although it should be noted that prior to 1913 and at the end of the Model T production, the Model T was in fact available in several other colors, including green, gray, and red. We'd like to think ol' Henry would approve of both the color choice and the powerplant in this particular hot rod.

The coupe rests on an interesting frame. The centersection is original Model T, with a box tubing front and rear clip added by Custom Works by Michael in Bostic, North Carolina. The hot rod chassis blends the 2x4 box tubing that is Z'd front and rear with the stock centersection in such a way that is appears to be all box tubing. Up front a Pete & Jakes dropped-and-drilled axle holds Wilwood disc brakes and receives directions from a Unisteer rack-and-pinion steering system, while a traditional transverse spring and tube shocks smooth out the highway.

Out back a Ford 8-inch rear holds 3.53 final gears and is located via a contemporary four-bar arrangement with coilover shocks providing adjustable ride height suspension. Rolling stock for the coupe comes in the form of The Wheelsmith 16-inch wire wheels fitted with Coker Firestone bias-ply whitewall tires that are sized 6.00-16 front and 7.50-16 rear. Spinning those big 7.50 rears is a task handled by a nicely warmed-over Flathead. By 1953 the Mercury Flathead V-8 was displacing 255 ci and producing 125 hp; 1953 would also be the last year of the venerable Flathead engine. The engine was in such good condition that it still displaces the original 255 ci. Paul had Bridges Auto Parts handle the machining of the internal parts. The stock rods, pistons, and crankshaft are now balanced and an Isky 3/4 cam lifts the valves in the block. The water pumps are from Speedway Motors and the engine is topped off with as set of finned aluminum heads from Offenhauser. An Offenhauser intake holds a trio of Stromberg 94s while Speedway Motors supplied the ignition. A set of Sanderson headers completes the high-performance street Flathead. Greg Deal of Morganton, North Carolina, handled the final engine assembly. The end result is a sweet-running flat motor that passes power back through a Tremec five-speed transmission coupled to the Flathead with an Honest Charlie bellhousing. This combination allows the little coupe to motor on effortlessly at highway speeds.

With the chassis completed attention was turned to the body. As we mentioned earlier it was determined that there was all-together too much glass in the coupe so it was taken to Custom Works by Michael where Michael Blanton handled the body mods. What we find refreshing about the coupe is the restraint used in the overall build. The stock door handles and hinges are still in place and while the firewall has been smoothed it remains body color. One subtle change that often goes unnoticed is the abbreviated sunvisor. When the panels were laser straight the DuPont Chroma Premier black paint was laid down by John Smith. Mark Peters gave the body and chassis that final touch of detail with some of the finest pinstriping you'll find anywhere.

Inside the coupe is pure '50s with a black and white checker pattern that works well with the pure and simple hot rod. The marine grade leather and Bentley cut pile carpet were handled by James Auto Upholstery in Fletcher, North Carolina. The steering column is from LimeWorks combined with a genuine '27 Model T steering wheel and Stewart Warner gauges in a finned aluminum panel monitor the flat motor. Air conditioning in the coupe is an elaborate three-stage system involving separate driver and passenger side temperature settings. Crank down the left window to cool the driver, crank down the passenger window for co-pilots, and when full cooling is required crank both windows and the windshield, it's a system that is both "green" and effective!

What Paul and Krishna Duval had envisioned as a basic beater in vintage patina became a fully detailed traditional hot rod. The transformation has made the T coupe a real crowd pleaser and the good news is the car is still a driver; it just looks better going down the road.
